A DINNER DANCE FOR A CAUSE
This One Plate, One Hope event was especially meaningful, as it was lovingly hosted by siblings Dennis, Richard, and Dora Lujan from Tracy. Their journey into this mission began in 2023, when they were invited by their friend Tina from Manteca to attend a prayer and healing gathering.
During that first experience, something deeply personal and spiritual unfolded—particularly for Richard. As he sat in prayer with his eyes closed, he felt a profound presence he could only describe as the Holy Spirit. He saw what he recalls as a brilliant light in the distance, accompanied by a quiet but unmistakable sense that there was something more—a deeper calling that he could not ignore.
That moment became a turning point, not only for Richard but for all three siblings. Each of them, in their own way, felt moved by the experience. Together, they made a heartfelt commitment to support Mother Margaret Mary and Sister Gloria in their healing and prayer ministry. What began as a spiritual encounter soon became a mission lived out through action.
They began volunteering their time, often driving Mother Margaret Mary and Sister Gloria to home visits, by those in need. Through this service, they were eventually introduced to a Radiant Light Philippines event.
It was there, after seeing the presentation and truly understanding the organization’s charitable mission, that something shifted even deeper within them. It became clear that their journey had led them to this moment. They recognized the urgent need to stand for these vulnerable children—to advocate for their dignity, their healing, and their future.
What once began as a simple invitation to prayer had now grown into a shared calling. With open hearts, they embraced the mission, believing that every child deserves the chance to heal, to grow, and to become a hopeful and productive member of society.
