A DINNER FOR A CAUSE
On June 14, 2025, Radiant Light Philippines, Inc. hosted its One Plate, One Hope: A Dinner for a Cause event at the San Ramon Community Center. The gathering was blessed with a strong turnout, with many attendees coming from the surrounding community—including senior residents of the Center, friends from nearby towns, and supporters who share in our mission.
Among the guests was a special group of alumnae from St. Theresa’s College, Manila, Philippines, who chose to celebrate their reunion at the event. Inspired by the foundation’s advocacy, the group embraced one of Radiant Light Philippines, Inc.’s fundraising campaign: the Adopt-a-Room Program for the 25-room Building Hope Residential Facility for Survivors of Sexual Abuse. Through this initiative, supporters may dedicate a room in honor of their favorite saint. The alumnae group pledged their support by adopting a room in honor of St. Teresa of Ávila, their school’s patron saint.
A generous contribution came from Ms. Francesca Valdez, a devoted advocate for women and children who are victims of exploitation. Her $5,000 donation served as the group’s initial pledge, marking a significant step in helping turn this campaign into reality.
The evening was filled with hope, generosity, and a shared commitment to restore dignity and provide healing for the most vulnerable.
The Radiant Light Foundation’s “One Plate, One Hope, A Dinner for a Cause” a fundraiser proves that when great food, meaningful purpose and genuine community spirit come together the result is nothing short of extraordinary!!!
The singing nuns also provided entertainment that was both unexpected and absolutely delightful. Their performance added unique spiritual dimension to the event thar perfectly complemented the Foundation’s mission of bringing light to those in need.
