A DINNER FOR A CAUSE
On August 16, 2025, One Plate, One Hope: A Dinner for a Cause was graciously hosted at the San Ramon home of Kevin and Bianca Rafferty. Though the event came together on short notice—with last-minute invitations extended to co-workers, long-time friends, and even acquaintances not seen in decades—the response was both heartwarming and inspiring.
Guests were deeply moved by the mission of Radiant Light Philippines, Inc. and the urgency of the cause. One attendee remarked, “I have never heard such horrendous statistics on cybersex and sexual abuse before tonight.” The program not only opened hearts but also stirred consciences, bringing awareness to an issue that is tragically prevalent yet often hidden.
The afternoon was blessed with the joy of fellowship, fine dining, and music that lifted spirits. More importantly, it became another testimony to God’s providence, as our mission was once again guided and strengthened by His wisdom and grace.
When my sister Dulce invited me to “One Plate, One Hope – A Dinner for a Cause,” there was no hesitation on my part, anything for a good cause. It was a blessing to be able to attend, especially with my mom. It was shocking to hear about the rate of abused children in certain parts of the Philippines. Your charitable organization ensures the children have a safe and supportive environment to grow, allowing them to heal and reach their full potential.
I truly believe that all children have the right to health, education, and protection from violence. Again, it was a blessing to attend “A Dinner for a Cause”. I pray that you inspire more people to join your events. May God continue to bless you and your charitable organization.
