A DINNER FOR A CAUSE
On July 19, 2025, we were deeply blessed by the generosity of Rolando and Myrna Carillo, who graciously opened their beautiful home in the hills of El Dorado for One Plate, One Hope: A Dinner for a Cause. Guests were treated to breathtaking views of the valley and a magnificent sunset from the garden, creating a truly memorable setting for the evening.
The Carillos went above and beyond by hiring a chef to prepare a special dinner and by thoughtfully inviting friends from their community, including business owners and church companions, who they knew would be moved by Radiant Light Philippines, Inc.’s sacred mission. Their hopes were fulfilled, as the guests responded with open hearts and generous support.
Yet we know that beyond the beauty of the evening and the generosity of our hosts and guests, it was God’s providence and grace that orchestrated this gathering. Truly, His hand guided every detail to bring light and hope to the children we serve.
I know almost nothing about Radiant Light Philippines Inc. before attending the fundraising dinner, but I left deeply moved. I had a chance to learn about the mission, meet members of the board and volunteers, and I was specially inspired by Mother Margaret Mary and Sister Gloria Tagalog who travelled from the Philippines. They radiated the very light their organization is named for— gentle, joyful and full of purpose.
It is clear that Radiant Light Philippines Inc is doing essential work with extraordinary heart. I was honored to support their efforts with my donation.
